CytoSorbents Europe GmbH, headquartered in Berlin, is a wholly owned subsidiary of CytoSorbents Corporation of Monmouth Junction, New Jersey, USA, where the CytoSorb product is manufactured. CytoSorb is the company’s flagship product, backed by more than 30 patent families. CytoSorbents Europe was founded in February 2012 by Dr. Christian Steiner and Dr. Phillip Chan, shortly after the CytoSorb product received CE approval. All sales and marketing activities as well as most of the scientific studies are controlled and organized from Berlin. Since the start in 2012, the entire company CytoSorbents has taken a very successful development. The products are now represented in more than 58 countries on five continents. More than 1000 clinical departments work with CytoSorb. In addition, the number of scientific publications and studies continues to grow year after year. In addition to direct sales in Germany, all products are sold abroad through specialist dealers and global partners such as Fresenius Medical Care (for part of Europe) and Bio con Ltd. (India, Sri Lanka). All of these companies have many years of experience in intensive care and have excellent local market knowledge.
